  • Proposed Mixed Use Master Planned Development Public Hearing Notice and Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance. The City has received and evaluated an application for a master planned mixed-use development on approximately 118 acres zoned Industrial, generally located at the southern end of Castle Rock between the BNSF rail line and Salmon Creek to the east, the Cowlitz River to the west, and the Timberline Church to the north.

    • Written comments on the proposed project and/or this SEPA Threshold Determination, must be received at Castle Rock City Hall, 141 A Street SW, Castle Rock WA 98611, no later than Monday, August 16 at 1:00 pm. In addition, written comments and testimony may be presented at a public hearing conducted by the Castle Rock Hearing Examiner, on Monday August 16th, at 6:00 pm at the Castle Rock Senior Center, 222 Second Avenue SW.
  • Proposed Residential Condominium Development 441 Front Avenue NW: The City of Castle Rock has received an application from the owner of parcel #30216 located at 441 Front Avenue NW to construct a residential condominium with 8 dwelling units on a 1.95-acre parcel zoned High Density Residential (R-2). Written comments on the proposed project and/or this SEPA Threshold Determination, must be received at Castle Rock City Hall, 141 A Street SW, Castle Rock WA 99611, no later than Monday June 28 at 4:00 pm. In addition, written comments and testimony may be presented at a public hearing conducted by the Castle Rock City Council, on Monday June 28 at approximately 7:30 PM at the Castle Rock Senior Center 222 Second Avenue SW.   • The Castle Rock City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the adoption of interim zoning controls to permit master planned developments in all zoning districts as a conditional use. The public hearing to receive testimony has been scheduled to be held during the regular meeting of the Castle Rock City Council on Monday, April 26th, 2021 starting at 7:30 pm.
  • The Castle Rock City Council has initiated by resolution the vacation of two small areas of unimproved City owned right-of-way behind the sidewalk on the west side of Front Street NW. A public hearing to receive testimony on this proposed vacation that was originally scheduled for Monday, March 22nd, 2021, has been rescheduled to be held during the regular meeting of the Castle Rock City Council on Monday, April 26, 2021 starting at 7:30 pm.
  • The Castle Rock City Council has scheduled a Virtual Special Meeting (Budget Workshop), on October 19, 2020 beginning at 7:00 PM, on the virtual platform GoToMeeting. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the proposed budget for fiscal year ending December 31, 2021. Posted Oct 14, 2020
  • The Castle Rock City Council will hold a virtual public hearing on October 26, 2020 at 7:40 PM, on the virtual platform GoToMeeting. The purpose of this meeting will be to review revenue sources for the following year’s current expense budget (General Fund) and include consideration of possible increases in property tax revenues (Ad Valorem taxes) to be assessed for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2021.   • The Castle Rock Planning Commission’s regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov 20, 2019 at 6:00 pm. This meeting will be held in the Planning Room across from the Clerk Treasure’s Office in City Hall; located at 141 A St SW.
  • Public Notice: Public Works will replace pavement and pave driveway approaches associated with the Dougherty Drive NE Water Main Replacement Project. Works begins on Thursday, Nov 7, 2019, weather permitting. (Public Notice Posted Nov 5, 2019)

  • Public Notice: Due to delays of approvals from funding agencies and weather conditions, the Dougherty Drive NE Full Depth Reclamation Project is now scheduled to go out to bid in February of 2020 with an estimated construction start date of May 2020. (Public Notice Posted Sep 9, 2019)
  • Due to a scheduling conflict, the City of Castle Rock Planning Commission regular meeting will be held on May 23, 2019 at 6:00 pm, in lieu of the May 15, 2019 meeting. The meeting will be held in the Building and Planning Room located in the Castle Rock City Hall Building, 141 ‘A’ Street SW, Castle Rock, Washington.   • Public Notice: The Dougherty Dr. NE Water Main Replacement project is scheduled for April 15–May 3, 2019. Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. While there will be some street closures between Ramsey Street NE and Walsh Ave. NE, at no time will residents or customers not be able to access the home or businesses except for the actual driveway crossing, which will be kept to a minimum.   • Public Notice: In preparation for the Dougherty Dr. NE Reclamation Project, the City of Castle Rock Public Works Department will be removing trees on the west side of Dougherty Dr. NE from the south city limit line to Walsh Ave. NE. Work is scheduled March 4-8.
