Hours Variable; Monthly Not To Exceed Minimum Wage Limitations
The City of Castle Rock is seeking a people-oriented, motivated person for the above part-time managerial position. This is a city employed position, working under the direction of the mayor, with input from the Exhibit Hall Society Board of Directors. Emphasis of duties will be to promote and develop tourism within the City of Castle Rock. Some examples of duties include: recruitment and orientation of volunteers, marketing and promotion of the Exhibit Hall as a tourist destination, development of shift schedules for volunteers, supply purchases, maintenance and cleaning of the facility, operation of various standard office equipment, proficient in computer operations (internet, Word programs, Excel), greeting/assisting visitors, must be familiar with and respond to inquiries regarding availability of services in the community, serve as city liaison at Chamber of Commerce, community and other service organization meetings to promote/coordinate the Exhibit Hall and Visitor Information Center services and community activities, attend at least one city council meeting per month, develop informational and promotional activities (such as website, brochures, tours, etc), assist/participate in fund raising activities, schedule use of building for non-profit groups.
